Job Description

Our client has a 1 year contract opportunity located in downtown Ottawa for a QA Analyst who will be documenting, evaluating and tracking testing results and reporting deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Experience with the software development life cycle and software testing methodologies
• Experience in creating test plans, test cases/scripts, testing estimates
• Able to work closely with clients, internal staff and external development organizations to understand and communicate technical issues.
• Proven experience in testing applications on mobile platforms i.e. Blackberry, Android, iPhone
• Proven experience in testing applications on tablet platforms i.e. Android, Apple iPad
• Proven experience in cross browser testing on web based and mobile applications
• Experience with web analytics
• Experience in API testing
• Proven experience in the areas of website and web application testing
• Ability to understand and/or use programming languages (Java, HTML, XML, SQL,VB Script, .Net) – an asset
• Experience using automated test tools - an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as MS .NET web applications - an asset
• Experience in testing Windows Software Applications / Database applications produced using VB, C#, .Net, Access, SQL Server… etc – an asset
• Knowledge of UML, functional and data modeling – an asset
• Experience with web application development – an asset
• Degree in field of specialty and/or equivalent training and/or experience; 5-7 years experience in software-testing
• ISTQB, ITIL, or Project Management certification is considered an asset
