Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Business Analyst for an 8-month contract. The position is located in Toronto.

Responsibilities
The Business Technology Service (BTS) Division within the client’s organization is seeking for a Senior Business Analyst to support various Contact Centre project implementations. This role will lead and conduct business analysis and systems consulting services related to IT systems development and application maintenance and support.
The successful candidate will conduct business and system analysis, feature/story analysis and documentation, planning and overall needs assessment of various Contact Centre initiatives including but not limited to an existing Telax implementation and Avaya upgrade from inception through closure.  All supporting project deliverables will be completed successfully within scope/time/cost.  This will be accomplished while adhering to established client’s processes and project standards/methodologies i.e .Kanban. 

Requirements
  • Experience working in Public sector organizations, leading business analysis for large and complex telephony implementations
  • Hands on experience with Telax and Avaya Contact Centre solutions in a lead Senior Business Analyst role
  • Exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business concerns.
  • Ability to facilitate negotiation and build consensus amongst competing parties
  • Proven experience and passion for facilitating requirements gathering sessions, build functional designs, use case/BDD development, facilitating and documenting test scenarios or test criteria based on knowledge gained through business and systems analysis of complex telephony and web applications and websites.
  • Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively, making progress on tasks while dealing with process and project ambiguity.
  • Strong experience in vendor relationship management, particularly in complex IT delivery projects
  • Prioritizing to manage a very high volume of day-to-day activities and balance their demands against longer-term work and project commitments.
  • Skilled strategic communicator to present and explain concepts and ideas, build strong linkages with team members using various vehicles of communication to share information, write/edit business cases/briefing notes/procurement documents and technical reports on recommendations related to technology solutions and plans; present recommendations to clients, managers and directors.

Nice to have
  • Agile/Kanban project delivery methodology experience, including leading Standup /SCRUM sessions with project teams
  • Assess and evaluate needs and cost/benefit analyses for new technology requirements, in planning  and designing solutions
  • Leading and facilitating business functional and technical requirements, ensuring integration of technical documentation,
  • Ensure all project business documents, artefacts and deliverables are completed and signed off while at the same time confirming that deliverables meet business needs.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility as required. Conducts research and analysis to quantify business opportunities/challenges and develop formal recommendations to management
  • Supports the development and implementation of project performance measures, indicators, benchmarks and guidelines to ensure project resources are used appropriately and the achievement of quality assurance standards as well as adherence to mandatory client’s project rules and methods.
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, operational staff, consultants/vendors and management at various levels to be aware of issues that impact on current and future projects, manage expectations, resolve conflict and elicit their support and co-operation.
  • Regularly groom the product backlog by adding, prioritizing, and/or removing feature-level user stories to maintain alignment to the project vision and scope
  • Identify and assist with project resource allocation and constraints throughout the project
  • Participate in Project retrospectives/lessons learned throughout the project
  • Lead (daily/weekly) project 'stand-ups' to progress activities on the Project Kanban board
  • Attend (daily/weekly) Enterprise 'stand-up' meetings to address project issues and activities as required
  • Support Lean Metrics tracked and reported within the project status (weekly/monthly)
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and input for business cases for new initiatives as assigned
  • Develop Business models and/or process flows to support Intake requests
  • Support  Management Team through completion of assigned activities to support intake requests from the Business areas
  • Communicate with internal/external stakeholders to gather information and provide analysis updates and/or presentation of findings
