Job Description

Our client is in need of an intermediate Java WebSphere Developer who will be joining an existing team of developers, responsible to deliver modifications to a system running on Websphere with a web browser interface. The individual will also be expected to be actively participating in the design, analysis, coding, testing and documentation of all system changes. The contract is 6 months in length starting in July 2013 and is located in Ottawa.

Qualified Candidates MUST have

• A valid Security Clearance at the Enhanced Reliability level or higher. Secret Clearance is preferred.
• 8+ years experience in Information Technology (IT)
• 3+ years experience coding in Java including J2EE
• 2+ years experience coding/developing in Java Server Faces, JQuery, Ajax, and JBoss Seam
• 3+ years experience coding SQL to access a relational database is a must (DB2, UDB SQL preferred) MS SQL Server Transact SQL (T-SQL) is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Hibernate and JDBC is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web-based/multi-user server applications;
• Knowledge of workflow services and rules services;
• Knowledge of Websphere is a significant asset
• Experience using Eclipse IDE, Apache Ant, Maven, JUnit, XML/XSLT are an asset
• Familiarity with Jasper iReports, Hudson, and Java Messaging (JMS) are an asset
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
