About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Peoplesoft Business Systems Analyst  for a 4 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role
We are looking for a four month contract with possibility to be extended beyond October 31st but not guaranteed. This individual will be working with the HR technology services team supporting a variety of applications within CSTS.

Responsibilities
  • Work with business stakeholders and other SMEs to assess current capabilities, understand high-level business requirements and apply technical background/understanding in the development of System Requirements Specification (SRS) documents 
  • Work with the business to design effective “To-Be” processes; identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases 
  • Work with the IT Specialists (Solution Designers, Testers) to translate user and/or systems requirements into functional technical specifications 
  • Collaborate closely with Application Owners, Application Managers, and Solution Designers as the business/functional counterpart in solution identification
  •  Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing; participate in the testing of developed systems/solutions 
  • Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC), business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines and escalate issues as required 
  • Monitor product lifecycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and architecture decisions, undertaking re-development, as required 
  • Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements 
  • Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects 
  • Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Technology Project Manager and ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution 
  • Act as a technical resource for business partners to ensure deliverables meet business and end-user requirements. 
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in HCM area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery 
  • Work with the Technology Project Manager and architecture organization to define metrics and performance goals for the application 
  • Assist in the delivery and maintenance of secure computing facilities and technical infrastructure/architecture to support stakeholders and applications as appropriate
  • Support the development of business cases, RFI and service level agreements with vendors/suppliers consistent with IT requirements/guidelines

 Requirements
  • Experience with PeopleSoft v9 
  • Expert knowledge of business analysis principles to translate business requirements into technical requirements (SRS) 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Compensation Module 
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of the Oracle technical environment and applications supported via People 9.X

Nice to have
  • PeopleSoft v 9.1 or 9.2 
  •  FI or Banking industry experience 
  •  Experience with SaaS and Cloud technology implementation
