About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Technical Marketing Manager for a 12 months contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Mississauga.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Manage planning and execution of strategies for marketing & community engagement activities targeted at  IT professional communities & select influencers;
  • Define and articulate our  value proposition across multiple audiences of technology professionals, students, enthusiasts who are not familiar with or not currently utilizing our tools & platforms;
  • Showcase our interoperability by working with partners to develop and troubleshoot technology solutions across multiple platforms;
  • Provide responsive, reliable, and high-quality support to community, partner and influencer engagements;
  • Develop & define specific outreach mechanisms and channels (online, offline, etc.) to connect with target audiences; integrating efforts across other teams with similar objectives and audience segments;
  • Monitor & address satisfaction issues within target audiences, own escalation with influencers, communities & manage process for effective response; package up & share outcomes with internal & external audiences.
  • Drive the team’s digital strategy including online presence, outreach via blogging, online events, social media engines & other types of media;
  • Provide analysis, reporting and communication to management on status & outcomes of community engagement and partner projects, highlighting mission critical and high-visibility activities and their impact on perceptions around our company, our technologies, our programs & communities; 

Critical Success Factors For The Role 
  • Expertise working with a diverse set of programming languages/frameworks/technologies, including HTML5, Javascript, PHP, Python, Ruby, .Net, MySQL, MongoDB, Amazon Web Services, Windows Azure, etc. and familiarity working with open source software, including WordPress, Drupal, etc.;
  • Expertise at building relationships, account management, and client support;
  • Proven experience in building diverse networks among IT professionals & enthusiasts, preferably developer audiences;
  • Skillful communicator, able to build new relationships & grow existing relationships into quantifiable outcomes for our programs, campaigns & perception change activities;
  • Excellent writing skills, including background in blogging, online content creation & management of content via blogging/CMS systems, familiarity with media creation (photos/videos) & publishing software ;
  • Success record of tracking & delivering against metrics (scorecards, KPIs, etc.); ability to quantify & communicate back to business performance against marketing metrics, ROI, etc.

Qualifications
  • Strong Development experience
  • Project Management
  • Partner Management and Customer Support
  • Current or Recent role as a Lead Developer or Technical Project Manager
  • Strong social media and blogging experience
  • Individuals with both marketing/customer support experience & technical background

Educational and Industry Background
  • Bachelors Degree required;
  • 10+ years professional experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in the technology (ITS) industry
  • 2+ years community engagement / community mgmt experience
  • Experience working within public sector / education
  • Experience building technologies in the cloud
  • Participation in user groups and communities
