About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an Intermediate Security Specialist for a 1 Year Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities

• Use the Enterprise Risk & Control Framework to assess risk and identify and recommend mitigating controls
• Monitor compliance with control recommendations and report to management on status and application risk profiles
• Provide project security oversight by reviewing and providing feedback on project documentation from the viewpoint of fraud and threat risk
• Facilitate completion of the required Enterprise Risk & Control Framework artifacts (BARA, Control Designs and Control Gap Reports)
• May execute Vendor/Third Party assessments and/or provide oversight on assessments conducted by other third parties in support of identifying and verifying the required control

Requirements and Qualifications

• 4+ years Information security experience
• 4+ years knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 standards
• 4+ years PCI experience
• 4+ years security architecture experience 
• 4+ years risk assessment experience  
• ITIL certified
• CISSP certified
• Experience with web services including web service virtualization tool experience
• Mobile applications as well as exposure to emerging mobile technologies is an asset
• Any prior work experience in online Banking would be of benefit
• Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, subject to time constraints.
• A high degree of personal initiative and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work both in teams and independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong Relationship Management skills
• Excellent PC skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
