About the Job 
Our client has a requirement for a Infrastructure Cost Oversight Analyst for a five month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
We are looking for an Infrastructure Cost Oversight Analyst to provide forecast for business needs and understands the transactions that took place, investigate and escalate discrepancies in charges while providing suggestions for corrective actions.

Responsibilities 
  • This individual would need to know and understand technical terms and understand historical data to guide businesses in forecasting.
  • This is also very administrative task that requires solid experience in MS Access, Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, charts), and Powerpoint as they would be collecting data from various systems and load them into MS Access.
  • Individual would need to know how to create reports and provide visual summaries using PowerPoint presentations.
  •  The position requires a sound infrastructure knowledge (software, hardware, ...), strong leadership, relationship management, communication and analytical skills.
  • Participate in annual planning, forecasting, tracking and reporting on infrastructure costs related to application support costs (licenses, HW costs,…) as well as internal infrastructure charges (such as consumption of SAN storage, email, file transfer, network connections, Sharepoint consumptions). 
  • Create an inventory of application license costs, server costs, and other infrastructure charges 
  •  Investigate and escalate discrepancies in charges while providing suggestions for corrective actions
  •  Understand consumption trend and assist in volume growth planning 
  •  Participate in Support Cost Adjustments due to incremental ongoing support from project business cases, application retirement, contract negotiation, changes to infrastructure charges 
  •  Oversee retirement of applications to ensure that cost decrease happens in timely manner 

Requirements or Qualifications
  • Sound infrastructure knowledge (software, hardware) 
  •  MS Access, Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, charts), PowerPoint, Word 
  •  Visual Basic skills 
  •  Strong analysis experience and budget management experience 
  •  Strong MS Access knowledge(take raw data & load into MS Access & able to create ad-hoc reports) 
  • Collaborative and team player 

Nice to have
  • Strong infrastructure experience in Financial industry / banking industry 
  • Experience working within Wealth industry
