Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Solutions Developer with strong Technical and/or Business Analysis skills to undertake analysis, design and development in various Management Reporting applications. The position also requires the individual to be able to comfortably lead teams in a project setting, perform troubleshooting when required in a tight situation, is a self-starter, a self motivator, a dedicated and a committed individual with proven experience delivering high quality solutions.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to provide work effort estimates for development tasks
- Ability to understand and acquire new technical and business skills quickly and with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop application code, debug and trouble-shoot with minimal supervision
- Experience lead and coordinating development activities with both onshore and offshore development teams
- Ability to team lead and work in teams and also individually
- Ability to initiate and commit to the development activities, coordinate and execute them all the way to full deployment and production implementation and verification.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business users
- Strong documentation skills both for detail and high level type documents
- Contribute to the design and development of quality solutions for program/system issues consistent with project objectives and client requirements following technology architecture standards
- Develop/program solutions primarily utilizing MS SQL Server and .Net Technologies
- Manage source code for projects using enterprise source code repositories
- Coordinate Development activities with our on shore and off shore partners
- Liaise with other technology solutions delivery groups and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects
- Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, and adhering to development and quality standards
- Review and evaluates project documentation to determine feasibility and compatibility in light of business requirements
- As needed, test and debug according to test plans, using available/appropriate tools and participate in reviewing peer coding; monitor and report on results
- Comply with SDLC by participating in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis
- Support IT Manager in developing business cases, RFP and SLA with vendors/suppliers where applicable
- Complete SDLC (SRS/SDS) documentation
- Ensure compliance to TDBFG project management methodology
- Prepare application-related presentations and mock-ups as part of prototyping
- Participate in knowledge transfer with the team and business units
Requirements and Qualification:
- Strong development experience with client/server technologies including Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET and SQL Server
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and familiarity with SQL DTS and SSIS packages
- Strong documentation skills both for detail and high level type documents
- Business analysis experience including ability to document and test
- C#, VB
- Familiarity with reporting technologies like Business Objects, Crystal Reports and MS Analysis Services
- Team lead experience in a multi-team environment
- Project lead/management experience
- Familiarity with release and change management processes
