Role

One of our trusted financial services clients has an exciting opportunity for an SAP Payroll & Time Configuration Specialist, with schema and rules expertise, to assist with the configuration, testing, defect resolution of an existing SAP HCM Payroll solution in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other Information Systems professionals to participate in the design and delivery of IS solutions and SAP integration.
• Share responsibility for the functional and data design, and operational integrity of the enterprise HR system (SAP-HCM). This includes other satellite HR applications that interface with HCM.
• Be responsible to perform the functional configuration of the SAP system to meet business requirements, as well as collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to define and implement business processes and systems.
• Be responsible for the sustained integrity of the functional specification documentation of how HR processes utilize SAP-HCM for Payroll, Legal Reporting, and Time Management.
• Support break-fix and standard vitality changes to the SAP-HCM system (e.g. vendor released software updates and software/hardware lifecycle upgrades).
• Be responsible for rendering expert-level business process analysis and technical support on an on-going basis, and will require exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills to enable standardization of business processes across the organization and to ensure on-going software upgrades with minimal impact to cost/time.
• The successful candidate will have good communication skills, can adapt easily to change, demonstrate strong customer service skills and works well under pressure. As a member of project teams, you will contribute to the success of initiatives by leveraging your knowledge and skills to contribute to the continuous improvement of practices, and helping to ensure end-to-end quality assurance.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of training and experience
• 5+ years configuring SAP time and payroll on HCM implementations, with at least 2 hands-on implementations or support of Canadian gross and net payroll solutions
• SAP Canadian payroll configuration expertise including gross to net, benefits processing, wage types, schema and rule customizations, tax calculations, third party and FI transfers, etc
• In depth experience in Annual processing cycles Experience and knowledge of Time functionality (Quotas, Schedules, Schemas, etc)
• Knowledge and experience of configuration integration points to PA, OM, BN and FI
• Strong experience designing and supporting HCM reports, enhancement and interfaces
• In-depth knowledge of HCM standard reports and queries
• Ability to work in a team environment and on a fast-paced project with aggressive timelines
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
