About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Technical Lead/Application Software Development Manager for a 6 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

The application Software Development Manager will be the Technical Lead for a production support team and will be responsible for managing the day to day issues, help with shift transitioning, ensure issues are treated with urgency, follow up on root cause analysis; oversee small projects and track to implementation and closure.

The ideal candidate will have several years of software development experience within the financial industry. We are looking for a strong lead who will oversee day to day staff (group of approximately 10) ensure things are tracked, things are getting done; work on shift schedule, ensure everyone is getting required training; cross training is in place.

 Requirements or Qualifications

• Bachelors in an IT related field
• 8 to 10 years of development in a production environment
• Management experience is required
• Production support experience is required
• Oracle & Linux is required
• Webmethods & Java is required
