About the Job
Our client has a requirement for an Adaptiv Application Support Analyst/Managing Business Consultant for a 6 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership for maintenance and enhancement of counterparty risk infrastructure for the Trading lines of business from both a client/user and system perspective.
  • Leading activities for implementation of model changes as well as changes to the risk reporting system infrastructure (specifically they use Adaptiv).
  • Manage relationships and the interaction with clients and vendors.
  • Managing the risk system (Adaptiv) and interacting with the vendor, the line(s) of business and the internal market risk team
  • Support/troubleshooting/guidance for each different part of the Adaptiv system
  • Perform reporting/production/upgrades/system requirements aspects of the system
 
Requirements or Qualifications 
  • Strong technical skills with the Adaptiv application
  • 8 - 10 years of related work experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic direction for major projects and initiatives; this includes management of resources and delegation of work.
  • Experience in large IT development projects, with direct experience in all phases of the SDLC
  • Advanced experience/knowledge in developing functional specifications and conducting user acceptance testing
  • Experience with and knowledge of Adaptiv, specifically
    • Adaptiv Analytics (AA)
    • Adaptiv Credit Risk Syste
    • Troubleshooting the Adaptiv system (ex. delayed/corrupted feeds
  • Counterparty credit risk (replacement risk) experience
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent business writing skills and the ability to clearly and precisely articulate complex business practices into clear and easy to follow processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team and also function effectively within a team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines while paying attention to details.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship management skills; with the technology teams, the business and the vendor.
