Job Description

Our client has a requirement for Q/A Analyst for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role

The Test Lead will beperforming the quality assurance / testing services, the Test Lead may be expected to carry out any or all of the following tasks

Responsibilities

• Run test plans and supervise work of the QA testers
• Participate in regular progress meetings
• Participate in verification of deployed releases, as required; Qualified personnel for this role will have the following skills and qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience with leading QA activities in similar complex environments;
• Proven track record to define/develop test strategy/test plans;
• Previous experience with building test plans/schedules to align test cycles with project deliverables;
• Extensive experience with working closely with program manager’s to ensure delivery of test deliverables as per schedule.
• Strong release management and integrated environments background;
• Team leadership experience with ability to delegate work to testers and review their deliverables;
• Familiarity with best practices testing methodology/processes and ability to ensure they are adhered to for the duration of the project; and
• Previous experience with coordinating complex system integration activities in various test environments on multiple operating system platforms
• Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology
• Practical working knowledge of the “out of the box” platform/system that is their specialty (e.g. SAP, SharePoint, or Microsoft CRM) and Minimum 1 year of testing and execution experience in related technology areas in services described as part of the Deliverables in Sections 2.3.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in test analysis and design
• Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology
• In performing the quality assurance / testing services, the Specialized Tester may be expected to carry out any or all of the following tasks
• Execute system tests according to test scripts / lists of test cases
• Execute regression tests of releases according to test scripts / lists of test conditions or test cases
• Verify fixes
• Participate in verification of deployed releases, as required
• Log issues according to procedures
• Report discrepancies and analyze them to determine root cause
• Report regularly on completed tests, including results
• Escalate any unusual findings in accordance with procedures
• Automate manual test scripts
• Perform basic security tests and any related duties as required.
