About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Junior Project Manager for a 1 Year Contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga, ON.

Role
Our client is looking for a Junior PM to manage multiple smaller projects within a large credit card project. Project – Phase II about to start (5M). There are multiple internal teams and focused on application changes (not infrastructure).
 
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments
  • Design and apply new methods and procedures
  • Coordinate systems development for major applications, define project requirements including information and data needs, business analysis and programming
  • Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and assign priorities to deliverables and requirements
  • Define project phases, set deadlines and manage staff
  • Develop project plans with milestones
  • Coordinate all meeting and interface with business units, staff and service providers
  • Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals
  • Manages small-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple technology groups
  • Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project
  • Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise
 
Requirements or Qualifications
  • 4 years Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects
  • 4 years Full life cycle development experience
  • 4 years Budget tracking experience
  • 4 years Credit Card experience
  • 4 years SDLC/PMLC experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Financial/Banking Industry experience
  • Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
  • Experience with proven project methodology tools.
  • PMP is an asset
