Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager for a permanent opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering expected project margin/profitability;
  • Documenting and assessing impacts of project change requests in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the healthy management of your project by mitigating risks and defining resolution plan for addressing issues;
  • Ensuring your projects are auditable - Client quality processes applied);
  • Contributing to client satisfaction appraisal throughout the delivery of your projects to achieve these objectives, you will need to:
  • Obtain, validate and understand the cost model and project profit margin for every project you are assigned to before kick-off;
  • Use standardized tools, templates and processes - Client methodology - client partnership management framework - CPMF)) to manage your projects. in your role you will need to:
  • Define project team structure, request resource assignment and allocate team members to client-mandate;
  • Establish project schedule, manage project efforts and actual to ensure on-budget delivery
  • Establish project communication plan and deliver regular status updates, including weekly portfolio dashboard updates
  • Document minutes of meeting and ensure all deliverables are posted on ensemble - under proper project structure)
  • Obtain client approvals on all expected deliverables - project plan, change requests, architecture Document, acceptance documents, etc.)
  • Log and manage all project risks and issues; ensure proper risk mitigation and issue resolution plans are defined to avoid any project delays or financial exposure to CGI
  • Monitor/track project costs and confirm revenue recognition - project invoicing with financial analyst on an ongoing basis;
  • Apply proper and timely change management process - ensure that no work is performed on a requested change without appropriate approvals – P&L VP owner for non-billable projects or client for billable projects). understand, communicate and manage project scope
  • Manage your projects on time and on budget;
  • Maintain a positive relationship and communications with project clients to ensure client satisfaction appraisal performance results meet or exceed 9.3/10;
  • Meet all deadlines to produce accurate recurring deliverables/activities - time reporting, update to pm capacity tool, portfolio dashboard, health check, etc.)
  • Comply with our audit and records & retention policy by maintaining up to date project documentation in ensemble in order to meet our objective of external auditing.
  • Participate in team activities - training, presentation, responding to mail and provide feedback and ideas to improve team member satisfaction.
  • Your project management experience will contribute to the portfolio management responsibilities to assist the portfolio director.

Qualifications:
  • Has successfully managed the delivery of at least 4 outsourcing/transition infrastructure projects of medium to high complexity of 3,000 to 10,000 person days of effort generating revenue between $3m to $10m;
  • Has prepared work plans for projects including resources - 10 to 30), material - with 3rd party) and schedule planning - total duration 12 to 18 months or so);
  • Has executed various activities to deliver projects, such as the project plan, the work plan, a risk log and management of it, a communication plan, an issue logs and resolution, change requests, etc;
  • Has planned, organized, managed and communicated the activities to ensure the project objectives are met at client, team and executives satisfaction;
  • Has applied good management of activities - control) and quality assurance processes;
  • Has obtained all players engagement - individual, team, client and supplier), approvals, etc.;
  • Has strong communication skills in providing pertinent and precise information to appropriate players that can be the client, the delivery team or the operational teams;
  • Must ensure that time charged by members is applied to appropriate task and projects and project managers fully controlled their project budget;
  • Has completed satisfaction survey with client upon project delivery;
  • Datacenter transition experience is a must
