About the Job

Our client has a requirement for Senior QA Analyst for a permanent opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Requirements or Qualifications

Responsible for ensuring the quality of design and development deliverables and provides direction to others in technical, application, and/or methodology areas. Reporting to Manager, Software Quality Assurance

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direction in technical and/or non-technical areas related to QA
• May act as backup to QA Manager in the Manager’s absence
• Review Functional Specifications for completeness, consistency, accuracy, adherence to standards
• Prepare manual System Test Plans
• Execute manual System Test Plans
• Report defects and follow up on resolutions
• Prepare estimates for QA portion of new projects
• Provide input to performance reviews for co-op students
• Identifying training needs in line with business goals
• Mentor co-op students

 

Key Performance Objectives/Indicators

• Follow QA procedure to manage project and deliver quality product on time and under budget
• Provide efficient and effective manual system test plan
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with multiple projects in a fast paced environment
• Provide sufficient support and direction to junior team member as required

 

 

Qualified Candidates will have

• Fully understand QA management procedure and SDLC
• Highly experienced in preparing QA Quote and test plan
• Strong computer skills on Windows and MS office
• Strong analyzing skill and problem solving skill
• Industry QA experience in Electronic Payment System is required
• Windows and MS office
• Industry server environment, e.g. IngEstate and VeriCentre, is highly desired
• Familiar with POS system is preferred
• Familiar with Linux is preferred
• Discretion
• Able to drive/conduct a large meeting
• Analytical ability
• Dynamic and meticulous

 

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certified Software Quality Analyst preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QA Analyst role
