Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Business Analyst for a permanent opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Role:
The incumbent is responsible for providing day to day support of various applications across Client sites ensuring applications are operational and meeting business needs at all times and all application maintenance practices are adhered to. This includes but is not limited to: daily monitoring/maintenance/support of existing applications, resolving technical issues with various applications, development and co-ordination of user training programs, leading small to medium project implementations of systems across the sites and working with the business to identify ways of enhancing the current application base as well as identifying potential new opportunities.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Maintenance and Support of Application Systems (55%)
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various applications at the Toronto Region Operation location, and provide support as required to other regional sites (such as Whitby Region Operations location)
  • Ensure that application systems are available in accordance with current IT policy
  • Create/modify Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant validation documents such as Change Controls, and Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification (IQ / OQ / PQ)
  • Develop and coordinate training programs for end users
  • Perform audits of system data integrity
  • Active member of various manufacturing application “Centre of Excellent” groups
Technical/Business Lead for various projects(35%)
  • Provide technical/business guidance to various project teams
  • Provide various levels of technical and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation to support project teams
Project Management(5%)
  • Lead small to medium sized projects, following the Project Management Office (PMO) methodology
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Facilitate the gathering of user requirements, writing system specifications and test plans for large projects
Service Management(5%)
  • Act as SME supporting IT CSV (Computer Systems Validation) for client/regulatory audits
  • Work with the regional IT team to provide additional support
  • Assist in providing guidance and assesses requirements for additional service, and where appropriate also promote use of IT services.
  • Provide consulting support to end users.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • College/Technical School diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • B.A. in Business or Computer Science
  • 3 to 5 years previous related experience with Manufacturing applications (e.g. PMX, PharmaSuite, LimsLink) and Plant Maintenance applications (e.g. Maximo, MP2, PMC2000).
  • Must have a good knowledge of applications in general and have the ability to pick up other legacy systems as required
  • Pharmaceutical applications and practices experience
  • Knowledge of networking
  • Ability to learn quickly in a challenging environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to analyze an issue and provide applicable solutions and multi-task in a very fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and flexibility to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated and self motivated and must be able to work in a team environment or work independently with minimal supervision
  • Team, customer service, and solution based focus with proven ability to work within local, regional and global teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills for providing guidance and support in solving complex tasks
  • Project Management experience with the proven ability to facilitate user requirements gathering, writing system specifications, and test plans for large projects
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ability to adhere to all GMP/Pharmaceutical practices at all times
  • Proficiency with the English language
  • Ability to travel between sites within Ontario to provide on-site support as required

Nice to have:
  • Experience in Microsoft (MS) Office and Programming (Visual Basic, Java Script, Crystal Report, and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), also .Net, Active Server Pages (ASP) and Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL). (preferred)
  • Database/ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) exposure in Microsoft Structured Query Language (MS SQL), also ORACLE and ERP systems. (preferred)
  • Prior experience within the Pharmaceutical industry. (preferred)
  • Completion of TRO Level 1 Leadership Development Programs
