Our client has a requirement for a Remedy developer for a contract opportunity. The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirements:

The consultant will be required to develop and support several Business Service Management and IT Service Management (ITSM) applications and requires a senior application developer with intimate knowledge of Remedy Action Request System (ARS). The application developer is required to complement the Enterprise System Management (BSM) team in developing/enhancing and providing third-level support to existing/new Remedy ARS based applications. The contractor will be involved at various levels of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from Requirements analysis, Functional Specifications and Detailed Design, Development, Testing and Implementation.

 

Tasks:

• As a member of the BSM team this contractor will work under the direction of the BSM Manager in performing, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
• Business process analysis, design, development and implementation for all approved Change Request/Problem Reports the BSM team receives for the various Remedy Action Request System Applications (ARS) and interfaces.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for the development of new IT Service Management systems and/or sub-systems that are based on Remedy Action Request System (ARS), Remedy Web Services and interfaces.
• Adapt the Remedy ARS component to any “corporate” requirements when approved by the BSM Change Review Board.
• Present all documentation to the BSM Manager for final approval and inclusion in project records.
• Provide 1st, 2nd and third level support on the Remedy Action Request System (ARS) as required.
• Configure, develop and support all Connectors and interfaces and devices that link into the Remedy Action Request System (ARS).
• Provide comprehensive documentation to BSM support personnel and knowledge transfer to ensure ease of technology transfer.
• Experience in providing documentation such as Concepts of operations in developing operational, support, and architectural documents
