Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Business Analyst for 8 month contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Requirements and Qualifications

• 4 or more years’ experience as a Business Analyst;
• Experience in leading and conducting business analysis to assess the client’s business problems and opportunities;
• Experience documenting clients’ business requirements so that technology solutions can be determined;
• Expertise applying re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative, cost-effective delivery approaches;
• Knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies, enterprise architecture and gating processes and systems development methodologies to analyze the client’s business at varying levels of detail and project phase;
• Knowledge of and experience in developing business strategies, preparing business cases and cost/benefit analyses and conducting feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives;
• Knowledge of and experience in conducting business modeling, using case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling and process and data flow modeling;
• Knowledge of and Experience with the use of case surveys, business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions;
• Ability to monitor project progress and resolve problems and to report regularly to senior management and the client’s decision makers;
• Ability to develop performance measures to conduct business analysis, evaluation and
• Experience in the use of CASE tools to document conceptual requirements and scope;
• Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal and negotiation skills; and
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.

 

 Nice To Have

• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages; and,
• Knowledge and understanding of information management (including record keeping) policies and practices.
