About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Documentation Specialist for a 3 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role
The Documentation Specialist will report to the Director, Corporate Project Governance or to a designate. The Information Technology division requires a manual outlining services and processes of the operation. There is much disparate information available in many different document forms that contain the information required. A professional technical writing resource is needed to present this information in a single document in easily understood language.

Responsibilities
  • Use the existing source documents (Word, Powerpoint, PDFs, Spreadsheets, hard copies, etc) to condense and write explanatory descriptions of IT services (Feedback will be solicited and provided by a team of IT and business contacts_
  • Port the resultant MS Word document to Adobe Acrobat to create tabular sections, hyperlinks to internal and external references, potential update mechanism, and other advanced features.

Requirements or Qualifications
  • 2-3 years experience in relevant work
  • Basic understanding of risk and control
  • Solid understanding of processes and how to document them
  • Advanced working knowledge of Visio
  • Experience using advanced features of Abobe Acrobat
  • A secondary education (business engineering, accounting, auditing, risk and control, information technology) ;
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment; ability to work under pressure.
