Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Systems Administrator / Operations Support for a 5 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
Performing duties of a system administrator for Project Server 2007, ensuring that all deployments of Project Server remain functional as per SLAs with the clients.
  • Leading the admin team in administrative functions for Client Project Centre system (based on Project Server 2007, WSS 3.0, SQL Server 2005).
  • Leading teams performing enhancements to Client Project Centre.
  • Responding to trouble tickets daily and resolving end user issues for Project Server 2007, WSS 3.0, SharePoint Workspace, and any system-related issues.
  • Taking part in end user training and preparing training material.
  • Working with Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) to apply client/server patches to the Project Centre application (Project Server 2007, WSS 3.0, SQL Server 2005) as needed.
  • Developing/making adjustments to SSRS Reports, as needed.
  • Writing technical documents for training, as needed.
  • Updating the Client Project Centre Knowledge Base, as needed.
  • Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
  • Notify the Client Project Manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables, as soon as he/she becomes aware of them.
  • Submit Deliverables for approval as they are completed.
  • Comply with the Client’s security procedures and practices.
  • Comply with the Client’s architecture/technology standards and best practices.
  • Comply with the Client’s Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Provide knowledge and skill transfer to designated staff.
  • Comply with the Client’s I&IT Directive, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards and Procedures.
