About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a SYSTEMS SUPPORT for a 6 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Downtown Toronto.

Role

Our Financial Services client is looking for a Development System Support Analyst to join her group.Support, fine tuning and testing of credit risk application, model implementation, support of the existing model development work

 

Responsibilities

• Provides application, development, and QA environment support to the project development team in order to ensure that system support is maintained during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Builds, maintains, and supports development and/or QA test environments and infrastructure for the development/QA environment (e.g., backup system, NIS, DNS, DHCP, storage, etc.) in order to establish a proper development environment for the project team.
• Installs and configures hardware and system software to meet the requirements of the project design.
• Documents the final system configuration and installation procedure of the development/QA environment in order to make sure the Systems Design Document is current.
• Monitors performance and availability of hardware, services, application, and cycle processes to ensure that the development environment does not impact the project schedule.

 

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience
• Experience in banking industry
• Experience with Microsoft SQL 2000/12
• Experience with .net
• Experience with C#
• Experience working on risk modeling application
• Possesses a university degree/college diploma

 

Skill set

• Possesses basic knowledge of supported products and platforms.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of Windows and Solaris/AIX operating systems.
• Possesses working knowledge of system security, networking infrastructure, and host connectivity.
• Possesses working knowledge of desktop/server hardware and software.
• Working knowledge of application software (e.g., AutoSYS, WebSphere, MQSeries, and Crystal Enterprise) is considered an asset.
