Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a SAP Basis Consultant for 9 months contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Role

• Plan and define the upgrade path of client’s SAP ECC systems from version 5.0 non-Unicode to version 6.06+ Unicode.
• Work on-site with the client staff to install and upgrade a SAP ECC sandbox system to 6.06+ (Enhancement Package 6 or above) Support Package stack 23 or above and convert the system to Unicode compliance in August/September 2013.
• Work on-site with the client staff to install and upgrade a SAP ECC development system to 6.06+ (Enhancement Package 6 or above) Support Package stack 23 or above and convert the system to Unicode compliance in November 2013.
• Work on-site with the client staff to install and upgrade a SAP ECC QA system to 6.06+ (Enhancement Package 6 or above) Support Package stack 23 or above and convert the system to Unicode compliance in January/February 2014.
• Work on-site with the client saff to install and upgrade a SAP ECC production system to 6.06+ (Enhancement Package 6 or above) Support Package stack 23 or above and convert the system to Unicode compliance in June 2014
• Work on-site with the client to complete post-upgrade tasks such as to re-build all existing systems integrations with other SAP and non-SAP components.

 

 Requirements and Qualifications

• Plan and define the upgrade path
• Upgrade client's sandbox, development, QA and production systems
• Notify client if the Consultant is aware of any unavailability
• Develop detail documentation to capture to upgrade processes/steps
• Knowledge transfer to client’s staff
• Attend project team status meetings and provide updates when requested
• Submit weekly timesheet for services
• Notify the Region of remaining balance, against actualized services
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with:
• SAP ECC 5.0 & ECC 6.0 Basis Administration
• SAP ECC upgrade from 5.0 to 6.06+
• SAP ECC Unicode conversio
• Oracle database 10g and 11g
• Windows Win 2003 EE and Win 2008 R2
