Our client has a requirement for Business Systems Analyst for a 9 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in London.

Role

The Accounts Payable department is currently in the midst of a large scale ERP migration to Oracle Fusion (from Oracle eBusiness 11i). In this role, the candidate will perform day-to-day support for various applications, investigation / resolving production issues, testing small/ medium enhancements and liaising with various Business and Technology teams. As the project team moves closer to deployment, this position will also support our deployment activities.

The candidate will frequently interact with our business and project partners to provide specialized SQL reporting while meeting various production deadlines.

 

Responsibilities

• As point person for the group of applications supported, this position will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with our business and technology partners (includes development of SQL scripts for production of Ad Hoc queries and reports)
• Assume Business Project Lead role on behalf of AP for defined projects, ensuring that project deliverables meet business requirements
• Provide support in the development of test strategies and test plans ensuring adherence to agreed upon business requirements and support the testing of developed systems/ solutions
• Provides support through technology deployment periods
• Assume an “ownership” role for production issues
• Identify and implement operational and process improvements support of a superior employee experience with reduced costs
• Will ensure timely notification of possible issues/ problems to management and provide options and recommendations for prompt resolution
• Will be responsible for opening an incident ticket in FPS Tracker system
• Will participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment

 

Requirements

• Developer knowledge and capabilities with Oracle SQL and MS VBA/ Access
• Sound knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio)
• Ability to independently and effectively troubleshoot application issues of moderate complexity
• Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate a concise, focused and audience-targeted message

 

Nice To Have

• Working knowledge of HP Quality Center
• Oracle (Financial)
• Banking/Financial industry background
