Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Supplier Transition Manager for a 24 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
Your Transition Management experience will contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure related engagements for Client's clients by leading the crafting and execution of transition plans for all services proposals. You will also support the pursuit of new business through developing Transition and Transformation plans as part of the proposal. As a Transition Manager for the Client, your involvement in the achievement of the team's objectives is to contribute to:
  • Documenting and assessing impacts of program/project t change requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining the healthy management of your program/project by mitigating risks and defining resolution plan for addressing issues.
  • Ensuring your program/projects are auditable (Client quality processes applied).
  • Contributing to client satisfaction appraisal throughout the delivery of your program/projects on time and on budget
  • Act independently to deliver to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated.
  • Bridge the gap between the Pre-Sales Engagement Manager and the Account Manager / Service Delivery Manager.
 
To achieve these objectives you will need to:
  • Use standardized tools, templates and processes (Client Methodology) to manage your program/projects. Where required you may have to use a client specific methodology, tools and processes.
  • Have program delivery experience in all aspects of the Transition and Transformation lifecycle management for the introduction of outsourcing or managed support services, specific examples include, Service Desk, ITSM, Data Center Services, Network, Security and Site Services.
  • Experience in managing, direct or matrix project managers, technical resources and other resource assigned to the Transition and Transformation engagement
  • Ensure products and services are delivered within the Transition and Transformation within schedule, scope and budget and meet the required level of quality.
  • Demonstrate understanding and refinement of Transition and Transformation plans and deliverables in the IT outsourcing space, which includes but is not limited to HR, Finance, Infrastructure Management Frameworks, Knowledge Transfer, Training, Operating Process and Procedures, Facilities, Organizational Change Management and Governance and Reporting.
  • Coordinate the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, training and engagement activities and any business activities required to integrate new processes into the business as usual environment.
 
In your role you will need to:
  • Document and obtain approval on the project scope.
  • Define project team organization.
  • Prepare work plans for projects including: resources, material, and schedule planning
  • Execute various activities to deliver projects, such as the project plan, the work plan, a risk log and management of it, a communication plan, an issues log and resolution, change request, etc.
  • Plan, organize, manage, and communicate the activities to ensure that project objectives are met at client, team and executive's satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper management of activities, quality deliverables and use of methodologies.
  • Obtain all project team member engagement (individual, team, client, and supplier), approvals, etc.
  • Have strong communication skills to provide pertinent and precise information to appropriate team members (client, delivery team, or operations team).
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Complete satisfaction survey with client upon project delivery.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the different project participants.
  • Hand over service delivery to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM). Perform post-implementation review and document lessons learned.
  • Establish governance structure, communication plans, along with roles and responsibilities
 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10+ years of directly related experience including a minimum of 8+ years senior level of customer facing program management experience in the area of IT outsourcing transition and transformations
  • Successful track record of delivering IT Transition and Transformation engagements to required quality, scope, schedule and budget.
  • Advanced knowledge of program lifecycle methodologies
  • Advanced ability to identify and define problems and make recommendations for resolutions
  • Advanced ability to plan and proactively manage program/project financials/budgets and report progress
  • Led five or more Transition and Transformation engagements with a TCV of greater than $100M
  • Data center relocation experience preferred with understanding of technical disciplines in an enterprise environment including: virtualization, networking, servers, storage and desktops,
