About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Deployment Manager for a 14 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Role
The group is made up of approximately 50 professionals represented in Montreal, Toronto, Mississauga, London and Mount Laurel, NJ.

This role will not have any direct reports.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful applicant will join a high-performing project team delivering the contact center infrastructure component for the program. The role involves working closely with the CCI Program Manager, Senior IT Manager, CCI project team, and other internal stakeholders. Once in place, this capable individual will greatly extend the capacity of the senior team by owning the critical “deployment” plan that will transform “as-is” into “to-be”

The successful candidate will
  • Focus relentlessly on a successful deployment plan and execution
  • Elicit and clarify business, technology, and program deployment requirements
  • Codify requirements in project documents and iteratively refine these documents
  • Communicate frequently and openly with all stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Investigate and resolve matters of resource contention of the months/weeks/days leading up to conversion weekend
  • Report regularly to program and technology colleagues and executives to ensure understanding, alignment, and support for the plan
  • Develop contingency plans and multiple “Plan B” options
  • Balance technical ideals with real-world risk, budget, and time considerations
  • Manage and prioritize workload and look for opportunities to exceed expectations

Must Haves

  • Effectiveness and ability to get things done with an eye to speed, flexibility, and cost
  • Strong desire to collaborate, do what’s needed, and communicate clearly
  • Strong administrative orientation (e.g. managing detail, following process, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple commitments with different deadlines
  • Understanding of PMLC/SDLC/requirements/development/testing at a detailed-level
  • Ability to work effectively with a mix of colleagues: distant, vendor, executive, contractor, internal, business, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to/within the Greater Toronto Area on a limited basis, and possibly Ottawa or Regina on an occasional basis (5%)
  • Optimism, positive attitude, and a sense of humor
 
Essential Skills
  •  Use Microsoft Project with high proficiency
  • Consider and balance both an expansive vision and minute execution detail
  • Conduct extensive operational planning in detail
  • Elicit solution requirements and identify hidden or unspoken expectations
  • Synthesize and summarize massive detail accurately, clearly, and concisely
  • Analyze, organize, manage competing priorities, and solve problems
  • Establish trust, rapport, and influence with colleagues to expand his/her effectiveness
  • Communicate effectively (written and oral) and adapt style for different stakeholders
  • Reason through ambiguity and make judgment calls where appropriate
  • Use Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint

Requirements or Qualifications
  • Excellent written/verbal communication & Interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of contact center technology and infrastructure - 8 yrs.
  • Prior experience with Deployment in a call center environment (5M) - 8yrs.
  • Worked with telecom and/or telephony (such as VOIP, Cisco –ideal)
  • Willingness to travel to/within the Greater Toronto Area on a limited basis, and possibly Ottawa or Regina on an occasional basis (5%)
  • PMLC/SDLC - 10 yrs.
  • Vendor Management experience - 10 yrs.
  • Project Management - 10 yrs.
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - 10 yrs.
  • MS Project - 10 yrs.
  • SharePoint - 5 yrs.
  • Technical diploma or bachelor degree
  • PMP designation
  • Financial Service Industry experience - 10 yrs.
  • Understanding of ITS (preferably) and ETNS (ideal)
