Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a AMS Lead– Supplier Service Level Manager for a 24 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
The team is seeking an IT professional with several years of application maintenance and support experience in a leadership role to deliver services to our client. The AMS Lead has overall responsibility and accountability for both the day-to-day success of the transition activities to move the client into a steady-state operation under Client management, as well as for ongoing applications and operations management over the life of the – Client partnership.
 
 
Requirements
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent maintenance and operations process knowledge and implementation
  • Methodical and systematic problem solving skills
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • Team work and collaboration skills to gather the needed information and clarify issues and questions
  • Minimum 8 years IT experience predominantly in applications, maintenance and operations
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience on large scale (5 or more resources) maintenance or operations initiatives
  • Minimum 4 year of systems analysis and design experience
  • Minimum 4 year of demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a established system development methodologies
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (highly desirable)

Other relevant experience, such as
  • Application development or maintenance in client server environments;
  • Project Management experience and use of PM tools (MS Project);
    • Cost management
    • Scope Management
    • Schedule Management
    • HR Management
    • Risk / Issue Management
    • Business modeling experience;
    • Data modeling experience;
    • Web development experience; or
    • Business Process Re-engineering experience.
 
The following experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in process frameworks like CMMI, ITIL, ISO
  • People care responsibilities (interviews, reviews, goal setting, etc.)

Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding, development and implementation of application maintenance procedures for change, incident, problem and release management
  • Ensure all processes and procedures for service requests, consulting requests, incidents, problems and release management are followeManaging operations to meet service levels
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team
  • Planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of maintenance activities
  • Interfacing with business users in day to day activities related to phases of planning, design and development
  • Liaising with the Business clients at the Client Site regarding AMS initiatives
  • Responsible for resolving or escalating maintenance/operational issues.
In addition to the maintenance support, the AMS Lead may manage minor enhancements to the applications as needed by the client. This will be achieved through careful work load balancing, scheduling and prioritization.
