About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Technical Writer for a 3 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Writer with solid Compliance or Regulatory experience. Candidates must have experience writing both technical and non-technical documentation and have experience with a range of documents. They also must have recent Compliance or Regulatory experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day to day project activities of medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project
  • Review existing documents and edit or develop from scratch procedures that will include a range of documents that will be used by technical and non-technical users.
  • Develop written information about the organization’s computing systems that aid in their development, use, and support.
  • Outputs will include a range of documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all departments.
  • Analyze well written documents and coordinate requirements.
  • Coordinate design and writing of technical documentation.
  • Monitor all systems information products and communications.
  • Identify standards/documentation issues and recommend alternatives based team’s standard
  • Work on a variety of documentation - user guide, quick reference guide, support, procedures manual

Requirements or Qualifications
  • 5+ years solid PM – Application Development experience
  • At least 5 years experience as Technical Writer (both business and technology experience)
  • Solid documentation skills and communication skills
  • Experience with writing or editing procedures for business and technology, as well as experience with writing/editing quick reference guide, support guides
  • MS Office
  • Ability to think critically and use analytical thinking to analyze how the range of documents will be used and read by both technical and non-technical users
  • Compliance or Regulatory experience
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Financial Industry experience or Wealth experience is an asset
