Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a SharePoint Integration Specialist for 12 months contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Summary

In a multi-platform environment, responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of new or enhanced end-to-end solutions that meets quality management and development standards and also provides system, technical analysis and solution recommendations/work effort estimation for project development deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Implement high quality, scalable and extendable .Net solutions
• Gather business and technical requirements by attending planning, requirements and design workshops
• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement and support .Net applications, customized workflows, SharePoint applications and software components in a .Net or SharePoint environment based on company’s standards and industry’s best practices.
• Prepare detailed design specification
• Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions of Lotus Notes, .Net and SharePoint applications
• Gather new requirements and migrate current Lotus Notes applications to .Net or SharePoint applications.
• Support integration testing, user acceptance testing and implementation
• Assist in post-implementation continuous improvement to enhance performance and provide increased functionality
• Conduct and attend technical and detailed design walkthroughs and code reviews
• Support all testing, create code drop release notes
• Attend defect meetings
• Resolve development related issues/defects
• Participate in implementation and post-implementation support
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid and in-depth knowledge and experience in .Net and/or SharePoint Design and Development.
• Strong Microsoft platform knowledge and skills
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with .Net 3.x/4.0, SharePoint 2010, SQL 2005/2008, Active Directory.
• Experience developing Web Parts, Customizing SharePoint or WSS.
• Excellent knowledge in understanding of business requirements, systems analysis, construction, integration, and migration functions.
• Knowledge and experience in Excel Services, HTML, XML, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, UI Design, CSS, XSLT and Web Services.
• Knowledge and experience in web usability and accessibility standards, data modeling and database performance optimization
• Strong knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions.
• Working knowledge of Lotus Notes application development/support is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, presentation and writing skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire and ability to adapt to changes and learn new technology
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused on deliverables.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, work under pressure and deliver under tight timeline.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
