Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Cisco SME on a perm basis. The opportunity is located in Calgary. They are seeking a dynamic results-oriented Network Specialist to join their Calgary office IT team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task in order to deliver multiple assignments simultaneously.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Configuring Cisco equipment (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Intrusion detection/Prevention systems, Adaptive Security Appliances)
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, optimizing all branch level network, hardware, software and communication WAN links
• Support and manage VoIP solution, including IVR and Contact Center
• Producing and maintaining proper documentation of all IT related equipment (Network Diagrams, System, and Asset Inventory, etc)
• Analyzing and resolving network related hardware and software problems/upgrades
• Manage network security systems
• Perform systems backup and recovery
• On-call support in a rotational pool of IT Engineers
• Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, ASA, virtualization, VoIP, VPN
• Network and system troubleshooting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• At least 5 years relevant experience in a medium to large sized network environment
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
• Certifications are a definite plus (CCNA, CCNP or higher)
