Our client has a requirement for a Business Analyst for 6 months contract. The position is located in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Consultant to fulfill the role of a Business Analyst. Reporting to the MDM Program Lead, the Business Analyst will play a key role in defining and documenting policies, processes and procedures associated with the MDM / SUP implementations within our client.
The Business Analyst will ensure that the deliverables meet the requirements of key our client stakeholders such as the Process Architecture Team, the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), HR, Legal Services, the Privacy of Information Office, Enterprise Applications Operations and Phone Services.
The work will involve also involve close liaison with internal our client Security and IT groups; external vendors such as SAP and Telus, design and deployment teams and other key BCH stakeholders.
The Business Analyst will ensure that the deliverables meet the requirements of key our client stakeholders such as the Process Architecture Team, the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), HR, Legal Services, the Privacy of Information Office, Enterprise Applications Operations and Phone Services.
The work will involve also involve close liaison with internal our client Security and IT groups; external vendors such as SAP and Telus, design and deployment teams and other key BCH stakeholders.
The scope of work consists of the following:
- Preparation of estimates for development and integration activities, including level of effort in architecture and high-level KDD (key decision documents) documentation
- Engage in all phases of project life cycle from project kick-off through to implementation and User Acceptance Testing
- Interpret internal processes and procedures to define system workflows and procedures; assist in the development and implementation of customer service enhancements.
- Liaise with internal team members, end users, other systems departments and/or vendors as required; involve others in problem solving, decision making and creative thinking
- Create and build the migration planning of these services to the new database centre when available.
- Participate in the Development and roll-out of Technology Roadmap
- Participate in the evolution of the Architectural Design Documentation
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver high quality documentation artifacts to our client PMO standards.
- Utilize their experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
- Collaborate with vendors and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
- Infrastructure stabilization and development documentation
- Adherence to defined budget and schedule
- Risk evaluation and or mitigation documentation
- Quantify Quality objectives and document.
- Develop system and performance monitoring documentation on recommendation of architect
- Produce production turn-over documentation
- Develop enrollment documentation for iOS and Android users
- Develop KDDs for financial, technological and architectural decisions
Qualifications
- Broad based project experience in a variety of roles and organizations.
- Experience of working with large electrical utilities.
- Work experience in a publicly regulated environment.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions implementation in medium to large enterprise environments, specifically Sybase Afaria v 7.x and SAP
- Experience with Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programs in medium to large enterprise environments.
- In depth knowledge with Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) and Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) services and how our client has implemented these services with the Our client Firewall team.
- Deliver on strict deadlines and aggressive development schedules; report progress and quality of work to project team and management
- Capable of working independently with multiple stakeholders to gather information, refine concepts and articulate user requirements
- Highly developed, multi-faceted writing skills, with extensive experience of producing high quality technical documentation and key project documents such as business cases, project charters and user requirements.
- Experience of defining, iterating and documenting process architecture, producing gap analyses, Visio workflow diagrams and written process architecture documents.
- Paralegal experience, including experience of working with legal departments to produce Terms and Conditions of use for IT systems
- Knowledge of Our client’s privacy requirements
- Able to work on key deliverables with minimal direction from project / program managers
- Team player with proven experience of functioning in a high pressure / deadline driven project environment
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
