Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a SQL Report Writer for a 2 year contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

• Design & Develop SQL Server Reports as per signed off business requirements
• Work with the Development Lead in improving efficiency of existing reports
• Support the Development team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of business reporting needs
• Report progress on assigned tasks to Technical/Project Leads
• Interface with the Development Team to ensure quality
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure product success
• Provide timely and accurate estimates for development objects.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Candidates must have a minimum (2) of two years report experience with SQL Server Report Writer in an MS .NET/SQL Server development environment.
• Expertise in using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework.
• Knowledge of the functionality of MS SQL Server, connectivity to data sources, and ability to use this functionality to develop custom reports to user specifications.
• Experience in Microsoft .NET Technologies, SharePoint, SQL Server, and familiarity with transportation operations terms and concepts is beneficial.
• Good communication skills are essential, as are advanced MSOffice skills.
