Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Voice/Data Network Analyst for a permanent opportunity.  The position is located in Waterloo.

Role

• Providing technical leadership, design & management of the Company's voice network infrastructure
• Assisting with the operational support of the Company's data network infrastructure.
• Identifying, recommending, developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining value-based technology services and systems in the networking capability.
• Proficient in all detailed technical capabilities of voice and data networks, including convergence and multimedia.  These technical capabilities may include, but are not limited to: Avaya  administration, Call flow design, data switching, routing, QoS, WAN, LAN, analysis, firewalls, intrusion prevention, event monitoring and logging, operational maintenance, and convergence (video, VoIP, messaging).

Requirements or Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, 4 years in Sr. Technical Role
• Avaya certification is required
• CCNA  & CCNP  & MCSA certifications are an asset
• MCSA (2003 and up) (desired)
• Experience with telephony platform monitoring and tuning
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong business/supplier relationships to ensure successful delivery of networking services.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate telephony related concepts and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
• IP Telephony - core concepts (QoS, VoIP, traffic convergence)
• IP Telephony - advanced concepts (SIP, CODEC)
• Call Recording  (Blue Butler, NICE) - advanced administration and operations
• VoIP Gateway (Avaya G250/350/450, etc.)- advanced administration and operations
• Avaya Communications Manager v5 - workflow design & implementation
• VoIP phones (Avaya 96XX, etc.) - advanced operations and operations
• Experience with Cisco 2900, 3500, 3750, 4500, 6500 series
• Experience with Cisco Aironet 1100 series Access Points
• Experience with Active Directory concepts
• Experience with Microsoft server operating systems
• Experience with Cisco ACS Server
