Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a QA Specialist – Level 2 for a 5 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

This assignment requires the services of a Systems Testing/QA Specialist to augment a team of internal Business Analysts, Lead Business Analyst, Architects, Testers and Data Modellers in the development of information technology in support of the Card Production Optimization project and the Operational Efficiency Project.

Requirements or Qualifications:

• Experience in process, planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level
• Experience as a System Tester (not a lead)
• Experience with manual testing
• Experience with IMS/DB2 Databases
• Experience with Client-built software and communications with the Mainframe
• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages
• Experience with providing organized application testing to accommodate development and implementation efforts to remediate issues listed.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment
• Knowledge of mainframe tools (TSO/SPF)
• Knowledge and experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and data query tools to aid in the development of test cases
• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management
• Knowledge of Client’s Licensing and Control System (LCS)/Mainframe System
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational, creativity and perseverance skills
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
