About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Manage Mining and Processing Deployment Lead for a 1 year contract opportunity.  The position is located in Kitimat, BC.

Role

The SAP functional deployment lead will focus on leading the business through the change and adoption of the Client's Business Solution as well as identifying and articulating the business requirements and impact areas.

Responsibilities

• Business Unit engagement and communications
• Analyse requirements and reflect these and decisions through formal documented channel (white paper, integration paper)
• Positioning the standard Client Business Solution process and solution and qualifying with the business define gaps based on the business requirements.

As part of Design phase
Own the completion of design documentation including the completion of core elements like:

• Organization and Enterprise Structure
• Process integrity and controls
• Prepare business data model (cost models, etc)

As part of Build phase

• Work through design based effects following governance reviews
• Prepare data for trial conversion including tracking progress of completion of business activities
• Leader of team in Trial conversion for data preparation, extracting & reconciliation
• Define scenario / integration test requirements
• Testing (fit for purpose) – integration, parallel payroll, and site
• Manage governance review activities within process domain

As part of Final Preparation & Deploy phase

• Member of cutover team in the preparation of plans and execution of cutover
• Training support where required
• Go-live support as part of the Project Closure & Initial Support phase

Key Consultant Attributes

• Relevant consulting experience within at least Manufacturing/Mining sectors and aligned with the complex functional components of the SAP solution.
• At least 4-5 full lifecycle implementations with the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in all aspects of a SAP implementation and the relationships between each, including: Blueprinting, Design, Technical, Integration, Testing, Migration, etc
• Demonstrated skills in customer facing activities covering requirements gathering, configuration / testing skills, data preparation, cutover support and documentation preparation.
• Ability to conduct and facilitate workshops with business representatives, management and executive, team member resources, and external 3rd party groups
• Problem solving skills that use techniques to identify the root cause of the issue and then ability to clearly communicate (verbal/orally) this position.
• Attention to detail in the written communications.
• Advanced communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide advice, consult and negotiate with senior management and manage key relationships between stakeholders involved in an upgrade/implementation environment.
• Advanced verbal communication skills that use techniques to present standard solution positions that might require an adaption of the business requirement to align with the solution.
• Operating in a programme context, including participation in global teams and/or working with people and organisations in different regions.
• Comfortable in adapting working hours to align with demands of communication across multiple time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a complex environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritises the assignment of tasks to meet overall team schedule.
• Able to demonstrate skills in assessing impacts across an existing productive template system and to provide risk mitigation strategies for conflicts
• Working in a remote location with limited travel access to major cities (Vancouver). Travel to Montreal in certain case will be required.
• Commitment to up to a 12 month contract.

Requirements or Qualifications

• SAP PP and QM business process and configuration experience (Production planning, accounting, reporting and analysis for mining, processing and transportation activities).

• Inventory Management
• Production Planning and execution
• MRP and LTP
• Capacity Planning
• Product Cost Planning
• Quality Inspections, reporting only
• Master Data (Material Master, Production, Quality)
  • Specific expertise expected:
  • Understanding XI/ XMii/ Infrastructure
  • Understanding of Manufacturing execution systems.
    • Functional integration experience of PP into:
    • Sales and Distribution
    • Materials Management
    • Cost Controlling
