Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Business Analyst - GIS for 12 months contract. The position is located in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Document the business processes, business requirements and provide input into the design of the  workflows
• Perform analysis on business requirements
• Perform gap analysis between COTS and Business Requirements
• Experience working with Geographic Information Systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Be focused on providing high quality service, and have a strong desire to complete projects accurately on time, and in a professional manner.
• Experience in formal documenting and analyzing business requirements
• Solid knowledge in ESRI platform and GIS
• ArcGIS Awareness
• Coordinate System Awareness
• Know how to manage/edit/view data, share content in ArcGIS Desktop Geo-processing
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Developer background is an asset

Business and Technical requirements:

• Experience in Pipeline industry
• Experience in ESRI platform –ArcGIS
• Business analysis skills
• Experience in Bitmap
• Good communication skills        
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• May need to deliver under tight timelines
• Able to adapt to changing business requirements
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders at the same time
• Able to deliver according to the project plan
