Software Sales Representative

We are seeking self-motivated and results-driven individuals for our team as Software Sales Representatives for our Toronto Office.  The Software Sales Representative will influence revenue across Zylog products line by cross selling, up selling and promoting Zylog products and services.   This includes, but is not limited to the following activities:  Prospecting, Cold Calling, Account Management, Forecasting, Pipeline management, etc.

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Proactively conduct outbound phone calls to generate new and repetitive accounts.
  • Prospecting, developing solution sales within client business units.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, as well as focusing on retaining and growing the overall customer relationship in order to meet Company goals.
  • Work with customers to quickly resolve any outstanding issues and follow up with customers.
  • Forecast sales on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Maintain and update records including customer and prospect database.
  • Effectively collaborate and develop relationships with virtual teams and leverage team-based selling with multiple teams and members.
  • Develop relationships with senior-level technical and business decision makers.
  • Stay current with company products, services, resources, programs, policy and procedures; research information on competitors, industry trends, prospects and customers.
  • Assist in the development of RFP’s and RFQ’s for established clients and client prospects.

Specific skills and experience required for this position are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Management or a related field preferred
  • Previous Sales, Account Management and Business Development experience in high tech industry preferred
  • Proven track record at achieving measurable sales goals in a high paced environment
  • A highly motivated self-starter
