Job Description

Our client has a requirement for Intermediate Java Developers for a one (1) year contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Ottawa, ONT.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Programmer Analyst responsible for requirements analysis, web application design, and web application development.
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications with JAVA Enterprise Edition Version 1.4 or greater
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications, connecting to a relational database
• Demonstrated experience using SQL (Structured Query Language)
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications using the Spring application development framework  
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications using Hibernate for Object/Relational Mapping and database persistence
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications, using Application Servers such as Websphere; WebLogic and JBoss.
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications using JSP, XML and HTML.
• Demonstrated experience writing unit tests for JAVA applications to validate that code functions as designed according to business requirements
• Demonstrated experience using Version Control Systems such as GIT when developing web applications
• Demonstrated experience developing web applications using Spring 2.5 or greater
• Demonstrated experience working in a development team analysing business requirements to ensure the technical implementation addresses the business need
• Demonstrated experience developing JAVA applications that are transactional, forms based, with multi step business processes
• Demonstrated experience developing JAVA applications, using Maven
• Demonstrated experience with UNIX / Linux
• Demonstrated experience developing Government of Canada web applications implementing Treasury Board standards such as CLF 2.0, or WCAG
• Valid SECRET clearance
