About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Senior  Essbase DBA for a  
9-Month Contract.  The position is located in Mississauga ON.

Role

• We are seeking an individual to support our Hyperion 11 environment. The candidate will solely be responsible for end to end Hyperion support.
• We are using ASO cubes for Management reporting and BSO cubes for forecasting (Planning).
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining system stability and be able to recover from problem in the event of failure.
• Strong Infrastructure support and installation experience is a definite asset. Weblogic and Webpshere understanding would be a plus. 

Qualifications

• Solid experience and expertise with Essbase Infrastructure and Technology 
• Solid understanding of ASO and BSO cubes 
• Solid understanding and experience with Hyperion recovery strategies 
• Excellent knowledge of scripting languages such as windows batch scripts and maxL is a must. It would be a plus if candidate possess ability to comprehend with VB Script, Java scripts, PHP and Unix Shell Scripts 
• Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills to include shared services, provisioning, and Planning 
• Solid experience in application updates, maintenance & Hyperion upgrades. 

Technical Requirements -- nice to have

• Solid experience with Workspace, WA, FR, Planning, HSS, EAS, EPMA and other Hyperion products 
• Solid understanding of Hyperion clustered environment would be great 
• Good understanding of Windows Operating systems, Unix would be a plus 
• Experience and Knowledge of web tier (Weblogic and Websphere) 
• Good understanding of JAVA and application server technologies would be a plus 
• Understanding of Essbase Java API would be a plus 
• High level understanding of Hyperion Workspace to check correctness of data 
• Be able to identify Essbase metrics that are needed to be monitored as well as be able to collect that information

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills 
• Ambitious, self motivated individual, strong work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
