About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a solution developer for a 6 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in downtown Toronto, ON.

Role

Resource will serve the department, such as the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) system and Corporate Compliance (CPC). The applications reside on the mainframe and on distributed AIX platforms. We are seeking a Solutions Developer to work on the AML Production Support team

 Responsibilities 

• Development & support of maintenance releases for the AML application. (Application components reside on distributed AIX platforms).
• Maintenance of the AML DEV environments including source code management.
• Application tools support, such as Enterprise Guide (EG), UI, MKS & FSECURE.
• Support of access setups for all developers and business users
• Support day-to-day AML production and business support
• Prepare test plans, test data and test environments
• Preparae implementation packages for system deployment
• Design and development of quality solutions for program/system issues consistent with client requirements following technology architecture standards.
• Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget and adhering to development and quality standards.
• Conduct program/system research, analysis, design and problem resolution
• Test and debug using appropriate tools and participating in reviewing peer code.
• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC).
• Support IT Manager in developing applicable SDLC project documents
• Participate in knowledge transfer with the team and business units 

Qualifications

• Experience in the following technical skills/tools: SAS Macro programming, AIX/Unix, DB2, SAS, Websphere
• Strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology (PMLC)
• Ability to understand and acquire new technical skills
• Ability to code, debug and trouble-shoot with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively with others; self-motivated and a team player
• Ability to multi-task, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
