About the Job


Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Systems Administration Specialist / Level 1 for a 6 months Contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto, Ontario


Requirement or Qualifications:

Scope of Services and Deliverables - The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables

•Support of servers, application systems, troubleshooting, enhancements, and maintenance.
•Provide support on software issues in response to end-user requests
•Monitor the network environment (LAN or external client service network) to ensure that problems are identified and resolved
•Provide troubleshooting and optimization for technical problems within an area
•Develop and implement technical solutions under general supervision
•Create user accounts and support users in accessing network resources
•Support Team Lead in issue/incident investigation, troubleshooting & resolution
•Manage defined IT processes for projects
•Track and control the change management process within the project.
•Participate in ongoing process improvement, and recommend process change
•Deliver the project tasks as requested by the Project Manager
•Provide feedback for the Project Manager regarding progress, barriers and strategies to deliver the project
•Liaise with CSS, CMH&A, LTCH and SCCH staff to assist with project deliverables
•Identify barriers to progress and suggests strategies to overcome barriers
•Maintain an appropriate knowledge of technology to ensure effective system design and implementation
•Create user documentation in regard to all of the above requirements
•Cross functional team support
•Prioritize regularly scheduled service activities along with urgent, often unscheduled support requests with a high level of responsiveness
•Provide support including enterprise email systems, phone systems, VPN solutions


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Operations experience in a technical healthcare environment.
•Experience in an enterprise-level support environment.
•Experience in the support and configuration of: McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, VERITAS Backup Exec, Citrix Xenapp.
•Experience working with CSS, CMH&A, LTCH and SCCH sectors.
•Experience with Human Resource and Financial systems.
•Experience with support requests in Quadrant and Microsoft’s Great Plains Dynamics server environments.
•Experience using JIRA.
•Experience with MIS (preferably Great Plains) application support.
•Experience using Footprints.
•Experience working in an environment that is required to meet aggressive SLAs.
•Experience in high paced, multi-task, multi-application support environments.
•Experience working with external vendors.
•Good understanding of the change management process.
•Experience with cross-functional team support in an operations and/or infrastructure group.
•Excellent client relationship management skills.


Other

•This role may require on-call support.
•This role may require travel between office locations.
