Job Description
DIRECTOR IM/IT

A senior advisor to its executive management team and to its Board of Directors, the director provides oversight and advisement on IM/IT-related issues. Through the development and implementation of a corporate information management and technology plan, the director, IM/IT provides strategic direction, corporate leadership and a governance model for the provision of IM/IT, telecommunications and informatics products and services, its business priorities, administrative and operational requirements and leads the implementation of its longer term IM/IT business technology vision. governance structure the director pays due diligence in respect to IT-related projects. The director provides leadership and critical support to the Senior Corporate Executive team on the management and implementation of a Web Content Management System.


Providing leadership and direction for the Enterprise Information Management initiative, the director ensures the effective management of its information assets.


Essential Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, science, or a related discipline.
- A conceptual thinker with an innovative and strategic approach to conducting business.
- Possesses a strong leadership presence; has a natural ability to relate well to business associates, colleagues and employees and has an exceptional aptitude for building interpersonal relationships.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience including significant senior-level experience related to IM/IT.
- Exposure to a broad range of industry and public environments within the context of an IM/IT framework.
- An adept manager possessing a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing operations, personnel and projects including strategic planning expertise.
- Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
- An exceptional degree of diplomacy, tact and sound judgment.
- An accomplished presenter with demonstrated experience in delivering to a broad array of stakeholders.
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Extensive expertise and demonstrated skill in negotiation and facilitation.
- Asset Qualifications
- A proficiency in both of Canada’s official languages.
