Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Build Engineer (SDET)for a 12 months opportunity. The positions are located in Vancouver.


Requirement or Qualifications:


Qualified Candidates will have:

Build Engineer (SDET)

Our client is looking for a talented build and integration engineer. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to work side by side with programmers and production staff and be passionate about increasing the overall effectiveness of the development team.

Responsibilities:

•Own integration, releasing and branching
•Build tools for gathering game/build metrics and displaying them in an engineer/artist/design friendly way.
•Drive TDD requirements where necessary
•Develop Unit/Component tests (where applicable)
•Increase the overall effectiveness of the development teams by aligning closely with various disciplines on the development teams
•Help make recommendations for improving the build process and implement those changes
•Metrics systems (Budgets for Memory, CPU, Disk, EXE size etc..)
•Own taking the game through to mastering
•Own integration between Art, Sound, etc and builds necessary tools required


Requirements/Profile

•BSc degree or equivalent experience/education.
•Experience with high level / object oriented languages (C++, C#, Java, ActionScript, Python, Jam, HTML)
•3-5 years of programming experience
•Experience shipping at least two console or PC video games with next generation platform experience.
•3+ years current game or multimedia industry experience
•Able to collaborate effectively with artists & designers and work across multiple remote teams
•Able to demonstrate knowledge of solid software engineering practices.
•Self-starter who works well within a creative team.
•Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
•Dynamic problem solver
•Good sense of humor is a necessity
