About the Job

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Project Manager for a 6 contract opportunity. The positions are located in Mississauga.


Requirement or Qualifications:


Our client is looking for 2 strong Project Managers – to be qualified for this position you will have.

• Banking/Credit card experience as an IT Project Manager (preference will be given to candidates with recent experience)
• Management of mid size (500K to 1m) projects
• Candidate must have extremely strong communication (written & verbal) skills.
• Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple projects
• Must have extensive experience with MS Project and Excel
• Autonomous – able to work on their own to gather information and get the job done
• Understanding of distributed systems environment (WAS, Java) and Host


Qualified Candidates will have:

• Managed the day to day development and support activities of 1 or more projects at a time
• Works independently
• Creation of detailed project plans as required including delivery of the applicable SDLC and PMLC documents.
• Work with the delivery and support teams to deliver solutions to the business partner and meet the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
• Provide effective and timely communications to the business partner, key stakeholders and the project team.
• Status reporting, project change control, continual risk/issue assessment/ management, and escalation/resolution are essential.
• Collaborate with the management team to manage the overall project portfolio and challenges facing the team and participate in the development of strategy to address gaps.
• Manage a team that consists of IT specialists and 2 to 3 developers for each project.
• Management of small to large projects (ranging in size from $500K to $2M), including multiple internal applications and external vendors.
• Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
• Accountability for project budget and time lines. SKILLS: Proven leadership skills and experience managing IT projects. Full life cycle development experience. Experience with proven project methodology tools. PMI or ITIL certification. Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
