Performance Test Lead


Our client has a requirement for QA Lead for a 3 month opportunity. The position is located in Atlanta, GA USA.


Qualified Candidates will have:

Job responsibilities:

· Technical Skills & Competencies
· Significant experience monitoring, analyzing, and tuning applications using HP LoadRunner and Performance Center.

· Monitoring
· SiteScope Software proficiency
· Create Monitors
· Generate Repor
· Unix OS monitor proficiency
· NMON, VMSTAT, TOP, ect. specific to Unix/Linux

· Windows monitoring proficiency Perfmon
· Analyzing
· Reading Perfmon results
· Reading NMON results
· Reading SiteScope reports
· Reading Performance Reports
· Correlating all activity to Evaluate system spikes and anomalies accurately
· Clarifies cause(s) for system irregularities
· Tuning
· HP Diagnostics
· Reading active performance activity to accurately identify performance issues
· Jprobe
· JMX monitors for accurately identifying performance issues.


Extensive experience in Performance Test scripting with HP VuGen using various protocols such as but not limited to:

· Extensive experience updating test scripts with custom code
· Conditional statements
· Building arrays
· Basic best practice coding standards
· Correlation
· Extensive correlation experience required
· Protocols common at THD
· Media Player (MMS), Real Player, Web (HTTP/HTML), Web (Click and Script), Web Protocol, AJAX (Click and Script), Action Message Format (AMF), Web Services, MQSeries-Client, MQSeries-Server, Adobe Flex 2 protocol suite
· Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Citrix ICA, Terminal Emulation (RTE), Jacada
· Java protocols
· Microsoft .NET, Microsoft .NET 2.0
· i-mode, VoiceXML, WAP, WAP Gateway, Palm, Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)
· SAPGUI, SAPGUI/SAP-Web Dual Protocol, SAP - Web, SAP (Click and Script)
· Domain Name Resolution (DNS), File Transefer Protocol (FTP), Internet Messaging (IMAP), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), MS Exchange (MAPI), Post Office Protocol (POP3), Simple Mail Protocol(SMTP), TUXEDO, Tuxedo 6, Tuxedo 7, Windows Sockets, Web/Winsocket Dual Protocol, Rmi-Java, Corba-Java
· Sybase CTLib, DB2 CLI, Siebel - DB2 CLI, MS SQL Server, Informix, ODBC, Siebel - MSSQL, Oracle (2-Tier), Siebel - Oracle, Sybase DBLib


· Extensive use of Performance Center or Load Runner designing and running test scenarios
· User Modeling
· Extensive experience using pacing and think time attributes together to accurate model user behavior.
· Run time settings
· Extensive use of system setting configurations to accurately exercise applications
· Understands advanced concepts of efficiently using the Load Generators in test.
· Experience using HP Quality Center.
· Creation of Defects and defect management through the defect lifecycle.
5+ years experience in Performance Testing
