About the Job

Our client has a requirement for Software Distribution Analyst for a 13 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in London, Ontario.


Requirement or Qualifications:

We are currently seeking 3 Contractors for Software Distribution for a one year contract, these individuals will have experience scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on software distribution activities using SCCM, with other industry standard software distribution tools such as Tivoli. Zen SMS, would be an asset. This is not an infrastructure support or development role, this role is operational usage of the SCCM Software Distribution tool through daily task execution. The desktop team is responsible for supporting 3 of the Desktop Infrastructures at our client.


The team provides the following services:

Overview of responsibilities:

The Software Distribution Analyst is responsible for executing the tests required to automatically update endpoint software electronically for an end-user or device. The electronic update can be enterprise wide request or a single IMAC request. The software Distribution Analyst uses a variety of Tools to perform the electronic software updates and also must perform detailed problem determination in order to repair and rerun any failed electronic updates. This individual must also produce detailed reports on the results of the job’s execution

•3rd Level problem support
•Package Testing
•Hardware / Software Standards evaluations
•In-house developed Application/Script Support
•Project Engagement / Solution development related to desktop


Please **NOTE** these positions can be based out of – London, Creekside & Montreal, there will be a requirement to work shift work


Software Distribution Support:

•Software Distribution is 24/7
•Adheres to change management
•Volumes based on tool and network capabilities
•Non intrusive to client (after hours or silent install) 100% Success expectation


Tools & Skills

•Experience with SCCM Software Distribution
•SCCM/OSD
•Experience with Tivoli Software Distribution
•Experience with Novel/Zenworks Software Distribution
•Understanding of automation techniques, i.e. Scripts and scheduling, checks and balances
•Problem Determination
•Office Productivity Tools & Outlook mail
•Strong Technical Background
•Skills/Knowledge Required:
•Strong documentation and analysis skills.
•Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
•Ability to learn/grasp technical concepts
•Familiarity with the CLIENT workstation technical environment.
•Senior experience gathering and documenting requirements
•Past experience delivering requirements within tight time constraints
