Our client has a requirement for Senior Business Analyst for a 12 months contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Requirements or Qualifications

One of our trusted Financial Services managers is in need of a Senior Business Analyst who has experience working with Content Management systems (Livelink/OpenText would be preferred) to join their team for a 12 month contract. This team has been working on many projects on this platform and is currently working on multiple releases. They work on projects for Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and the Global Treasury Management divisions. Knowledge of any of these specific financial areas would be an asset. This role will involve a lot of testing.

Required Experience

• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst
• Previous experience and knowledge of Content Management Systems
• Extensive testing experience (manual testing) – gathering requirements, test planning, creation of test cases, test execution, release and support
• Ability to work on multiple streams of projects and releases; this person should be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once
• Financial background

Nice to Have Experience

• Experience with Livelink Enterprise Server (also known as OpenText Content Server) – content management system
• Knowledge of SQL; has the ability to write simple queries & use SQL for testing for conversions
• Corporate finance, Capital markets or Global treasury management knowledge/experience

 
Must Have Business Analysis Skills

• Extensive experience working with the business & technology groups to gather requirements
• Strong written documentation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive testing experience
• Identifying business needs
• Identifying appropriate solution to needs

 
Skills and Competencies

• Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies and processes.
• Knowledgeable on business process modeling, process mapping.
• Capable of writing clear and well structured business requirements documents.
• Contributes to the development of detailed level process maps to facilitate requirements gathering, gap analysis and for training use.
• Ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics for prior to escalation.
• Work with team members to understand the needs of the project.
