 About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Senior QA Analyst for a 6 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Mississauga.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Senior level automation position within the team
• Develop high quality automated test scripts according to the requests for non-functional testing (including performance testing) using load runner, performance center, QTP and SOA
• Develop automated test scripts according to the requests for install and configuration validation
• Conducts dry runs of the scripts before hand-offs to the testing execution team
• Responsible for troubleshooting issues with the automated scripts during triage if required
• Work closely with testing planning and execution teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities with the testing process.
• Continually improves test automation best practices and standardization
• Previous experience with Non-functional (including performance) test planning and execution is highly desirable.
• Participate in project planning sessions to ensure automation requirements and scope is clear, concise and testable.

 

Technical

• Experience with HP tools suite such as Loadrunner 11.0+, performance center 11.5, QTP and SOA.
• Knowledge of various protocols to be used for automating various user actions.
• Understanding of the Application/software details and their correlations including Thin/Thick Client, Multi Tier Application, .NET and Java based, and Mobile Device.
• Understanding of various Infrastructure/hardware including Distributed environment, and Mainframe
• Provide meaning full feedback based on full understanding of Infrastructure/hardware & Application/software details during test executions
• Ability to filter and translate highly technical data from various sources into easy to read reports
• Collaborate with team members.
• Adhere to the Bank’s Test Methodology for ALL stages of testing

 Other Skills

• 7+ years of testing and automation experience in LR or QTP or SOA
• Mastery of industry standard performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner/Performance Center, VUGen, Analysis
• Experience with performance testing tools such as HP SiteScope, Comuware Dynatrace, iTKO LISA is an asset
• Experience with test management tools such as HP Quality Center.
• Ability to translate business requirements and/or Software Requirements Specifications into automation requirements
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to use and describe technical information.
• Good organizational skills coupled with a detail-oriented approach to testing
• Expert knowledge of performance/quality assurance, test methodologies and best practices.
• Understanding of Project Management and System Development Life Cycles.
• Must be dynamic and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Must provide examples of multi-tasking across multiple projects and adapting to rapid changes in scope & agenda to meet critical changing deliverables"
• Requires non-standard work hours in order to perform tests in highly utilized computing environments
