Role
The Assistant Manager Release will provide SAP release management subject matter expertise, be accountable for quality standards, and release schedule communications and management. The successful candidate will follow and support a rigorous methodology that will enable multiple SAP program to retain compliance with the customer CAB process while, also supporting new business initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives. The Assistant Release Manager works closely with the customer (Release Manager), process leads, and project test leads to understand project timelines and coordinate releases. The assistant Release Manager will also be the SAP CAB manager.
Responsibilities
- Release Management liaison with internal partner organizations, proactive coordination, and maintain open lines of communication.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of release management toolsets (CTS, CTS+ and STMS) and processes.
- Ability to work well with people of varying technical levels of experience, and to negotiate consensus with personnel internal and external.
- Ability to assess and understand multiple landscape, version, environment.
- Ability to dissect SAP transport logs and understand SAP Transport Management Systems.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of, and competency in SAP release management, program and/or project management processes including release planning, scheduling, communications, risk and issue management, change control management, quality management, monitoring, reporting, solution documentation, and operations management.
- Knowledge of SAP solutions, maintenance and release strategy.
- Knowledge of SAP technical, development, test, security, and analyst roles and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionality.
- Knowledge of SAP, issue resolution, and escalation processes.
- Process oriented individual, rigorousness
- Clarified the profitability of every customer solution through the involvement of finance and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices in the pricing process.
- Put together, implemented and now oversees the milestones assuring successful Program Management of customer-affecting implementations
