Our client has a requirement for a Database Eng DBA for 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON

Roles

DB Eng DBA is required to provide Infrastructure and subject matter expertise to support ongoing LoB Project work within the Microsoft SQL, Oracle and Sybase environments. The role of an IT DBA is crucial in providing expertise to analyze, define and transform systems specifications into a highly reliable database environment. The candidate will take ownership of managing software updates for all assigned servers to comply with standards at Audit requirements for currency & security issues.

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience as a DBA with MS SQL on Windows and Oracle and Sybase on Unix servers.
• 5-7 years’ experience in Oracle and MS SQL DBA
• 5-7 years’ experience in Sybase DBA Experience
• 5-7 years’ experience in developing, maintaining and optimizing Database applications and database solutions.
• Must be able to travel and enter the US - as required
