Our client has a requirement for an IT Specialist for a 3 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Scarborough, ON.

Role

We are currently looking to fill the position of IT Specialist within IT Asset and Contract Management.The position’s mandate is to manage assigned accounts and the software or hardware assets related to them throughout their entire life cycle, from budgeting and planning to end of life (decommissioning).

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for working through the procurement process with business partners to provide business value.
• The position will also be responsible for gathering and validating inventories and working with the various internal teams (Finance, Legal, Strategic Sourcing, Technology or Service Owner, Architecture) to ensure return on investment (ROI) and compliancy.
• Support initiatives that involve ITACM to ensure accurate data is gathered and presented in a useful manner
• Presenting deals, findings, etc., to Management
• Ability to assist the business and SSG with negotiating business requirements with Vendors for best in class pricing and business terms
• Work with clients to gather business requirements for inputting into agreements/negotiations
• Liaise with numerous Client Departments (Finance, Legal, Strategic Sourcing, Taxation, etc) to get deals to completion
• Adhere to ITACM policies and procedures
• Understand industry trends, issues and impacts
• Provide information and guidance to business units on ITACM policies
• Coordination of information gathering to assist with entering into our Asset Repository
• Establish asset risk measurements
• Assist in the development of support the use of standardized templates
• Escalate potential issues that could provide contractual issues to appropriate levels of management
• Develop extensive knowledge of asset repository tool (CA UAPM)
• Full responsibility for asset management and adhering to bank policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one years of experience in IT Asset and Contract Management
• knowledge in Software Contract Terms & Conditions and Audit Procedures
• Good communication skills with an ability to translate complex software licensing models and terms to our partners
• Solid decision-making, innovation and creativity in solving problems, resolving conflicts and meeting deadlines
• Flexible and able to adapt to change easily
• Possess good communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Have strong customer service skills
• Be organized, self-motivated and goal oriented
• Demonstrate sound time management skills
• Have a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to successful completion
• Lead or support a number of internal administrative and asset tracking projects
